Cowboy Party
The Lovely and Talented Mrs. SeeMore decided that we should start having a party every Sunday. It's called Super Sunday. We used to do Fun Fridays when we were in south Florida and she didn't work, but we're going to give it a shot now on Sunday. Today's party was Cowboy-themed.
Strangely enough, the items that we used for the party were originally intended for our middle son's 4th (I think) birthday party. Mrs. SeeMore had ordered all sorts of cowboy party favors (including hats, horses, bandanas, gold nugget gum etc.) for a party that we had invited a bunch of his friends to. Unfortunately, Hurricane Jeanne intervened and flooded our house. There was a period of a few months afterward that is almost a complete blur and probably one of the worst periods of our lives. Living in a trailer in your front yard with three little kids just isn't my idea of fun.
So the cowboy party supplies have been hanging around ever since. Every once in a while I would see the box in the attic and remember all that mess...and how Mason missed out on his party.
Well, the Cowboy Party was a huge success. The kids loved playing around with all the party stuff even though they're 6 years older now. So I guess that's a happy ending.
And don't feel too bad for Mason. We evacuated to Disneyworld for the hurricane, so he had a pretty swell time anyway.
