Calla Lillys Blooming

One of my all-time favorite subjects.

I never get enough of the delicate lines and elegant curves of these gorgeous flowers. I worked this shot a bit today to make sure that all the elements were composed to my liking. I moved a few leaves and adjusted my angle so that there was no tension among the different elements and so that the tip of the bloom was framed nicely against the deep shadow.

For some reason I always prefer these as black & whites....
