I had a lovely long, relaxing lunch with a good friend from Uni today.

In an effort to avoid all that is "Festival", I thought it was probably wise to stay away from the Bristo Square area, so instead we headed to Elliot's at the Apex in Waterloo Place.

It was empty, with soothing chill out music playing softly in the background - an 'urban retreat' from the Royal Mile - even the double glazing blocked out the noise from tour coaches outside the window.

3 courses for £16.50 - all delicious, fresh, quality food - yummy! :)
