No looting in Bradford

A quiet scene to contrast the madness in the rest of the UK!

No looting in Bradford...but then there aren't any shops!

(One wag joked the looting of Aldi has resulted in tens of pounds of damage!)

I'm appalled by what I've seen, there are simply no excuses.

I'm also quite appalled by the fact that many are using the riots & looting for their own political ends (what the hell is the point of Clegg the toady lickspittle towing the party line) & the right wing racists & Daily Mail readers (one & the same?) are making this a race issue with the ridiculous statement that "the multi cultural experiment has failed". You might as well say democracy has failed. Grrrr! Idiots!

When people talk of causes they are not making excuses they are looking for answers!

A society that values money status & fame?
A parenting vacuum?
Social networks?
Gang culture?
Government cuts?
Police stop & search tactics?
Video games?
All of the above?

On & on the questions will go but answers we need when our society is this sick!

I think the riots are a symptom of something deeper, our values have been corrupted.

Perhaps this is simply the inevitable result of a consumer society where we are continually screamed at by the media to have 'things' & buy 'things' but many can never aspire to those very things (isn't that how we all got into debt in the first place?).

Calling these thugs animals & calling for them to be shot isn't helping!
