Crisis? What crisis?

Although the UK has been hit by idiots behaving badly over the last few days, for some life goes on much as normal.
We adopted Marley about 3 years ago & although he has some behavioral difficulties (we've lost pints of blood!), we love him dearly.
Luckily our area of London has not been hit by rioting. I cannot be sympathetic towards the rioters. Even if the initial unrest in Tottenham was inspired by a misguided sense of righteous grievance, the continuing trouble is clearly cynical, selfish, stupid bandwagon jumping.
Marley, though, just wants a new scratching post.
