Not waving...

I was reminded of the Stevie Smith poem "Not Waving but Drowning" when I saw this. I have never seen someone swimming in the estuary before. Whoever it was knew their tides, he went in just after the incoming tidal rush quietened down towards slack water.

I saw him exit the water safely.
