Warming

Today whilst I waited for a train into the city I took lots of black and white photos of the old foot bridge, intending to blip on the quaint train station.

However.......after a soul destroying and depressing first experience at a job centre, I felt flat and miserable which was magnified by this rainy grey bleak day.

On returning home I found Jess warming her tummy against the Aga. I had to snap her from where I stood in the doorway as the moment I entered the kitchen she was jumping up, pretending that she was very busy and had not spent the day in such an indulgent fashion.

I was warmed by her simple happiness and more than a little bit envious.
