Stott Park Bobbin Mill
It's been WET, WET, WET here today in the Lakes, but no worries wellies and waterproofs were packed!
Today we had a little pootle around in the car and ended up at Stott Park Bobbin Mill this afternoon. It's a great little mill museum run by English Heritage. In it's day it would churn out thousands of wooden bobbins from very large ones for the textile and carpet mills to tiny little thread and silk reels/bobbins for household use.
This shot was of Frank showing us how the bobbins were shaped.
Tomorrow were going on a waterfall hunt as there should be plenty of water gushing down them after today's weather!
