... no, not in the sense of this song, although the hospital physiotherapist I saw today was decidedly yummy. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to blip him as I spent most of the half-hour on my stomach on a couch while he pulled, twisted and generally attempted to unscrew my ankle to "mobilise" it. The view he would have got of my rear end in unflattering cargo shorts doesn't bear thinking about. I was doing very well up to that point, having driven myself to the hospital (40 minute drive) in torrential rain, parked in the multistorey carpark and negotiated two lifts, a long wind- and rain-lashed roadbridge, two corridors and a heavy door (WHY are the doors to Physiotherapy not automatic?). The return journey after the ordeal by physio took somewhat longer, and necessitated a large iced coffee first at the Costa there to energise me to attempt to walk on the knife-blades which seemed to have replaced my foot. On the plus side, he did say that although the muscles are weak they are not in bad shape as the exercises I've been doing religiously are paying off. Still no full weight-bearing but if the consultant gives the ok after my next x-ray in two weeks, we'll gradually increase the intensity. He also said it's a good idea to take a painkiller before a physio appointment as it "may hurt a lot for some time afterwards". No shit.

In the meantime I'll just watch that video and dream of being able to prance around like Olivia.
