Oi! One would like the noise turned down!

Out on site this morning in lovely Windsor, a bit of a nightmare getting there, as there was a lorry fire on the M4 which delayed us by an hour. Nothing more I hate than getting stuck in traffic jams, I've done a few blips on it since I've started so I won't bore you with another one. And to top it all when we got close to our junction on the M4 the blinking satnav lost its connection, so we had resort to the good old fashioned map which caused a bit of laughter.

First time for me to be in Windsor and it looked a very nice place, but the thing I noticed the most was the number of planes flying over it from Heathrow, it was non-stop and the noise that comes off the jumbo jets is really loud. I don't know if I could live there, but I guess you grow use to it and it becomes background noise that you don't hear until it's pointed out to you again. Whenever I'm down near Heathrow I can't help nosing at the planes taking off or landing, I'm fascinated, how there are not more accidents around there I'll never know.

Got back to the office just after lunch, despite more problems on the M4, but I don't know about you but when I've been out of the office to then go back and do some proper work is really difficult, I just can't get motivated.

I thought this Blip was really cool with Windsor Castle in the background, a Ferris wheel and then the surfacing operations taking place in the foreground, just a shame I couldn't work a plane into it as well.
