Happy Hairwash
Today was not the usual Daddy day as we were visited by some Nana and M along with a van full of stuff including some old family furniture. Baby and Toddler were spoilt with gifts and attention which they enjoyed a plenty.
We attempted to have coffee down at the beach but the wind was too much. I did learn though that a cappuccino is not a drink to be had in a wind when I saw the frothy tops of two simply lift off their cups and fly through the air.
After we headed for a less breezy home me met up with Wife and the kids seemed to fall apart a little and get very clingy. It was only at dinner that I realised that they had not really snacked at all today and not even asked for any, which probably had affected their moods.
I am not sure what it is about the buggy but usually as soon as Toddler sees it she is requesting snacks. Mind you she did eat a full dinner with double helpings of pud which was nice to see.
We then waved off Nana, M and an empty van with a thank you for a nice day and a fuller home (as if it was not already full enough), and then headed for bath and bed.
So now Toddler and Baby eat off the table I grew up eating from, that my mother also grew up eating from and in turn so did her mother. It is strange how the look, feel and smell of a table brings back memories of table tennis, subbuteo, family dinners and many debates as well as many more things . It is quite a contrast to the £11 from an auction site that we have been using til now.
