Hanging on

Another butterfly...still have one I haven't yet captured. I keep going out to the front yard and spying another beauty I can't turn down. I try to get each from a different perspective, though, so as not to be boring and predictable :) This one is so bright, almost a glowing copper shade. He is quite handsome albeit a chunk missing from one wing. The spots on his underside (sorry you couldn't see them from this angle) appear silvery in the light and the designs are stunning. I liked the comical face-like pattern on the lower portion wing (eye brows, eye dots, and double frowns--at least that's what I see)! It was a bit windy when I was trying to photograph this poor guy. He closed his wings down, almost hugging the branch to hang on.
