Bittersweet

Today is my sister's birthday. She's thirty-three years old. Thanks to stage IV stomach cancer, she's in hospice care and it seems her organs are starting to shut down. This is the face of worry and fear, sprinkled with a bit of gratitude for having her around for another day.
