Baking

Another pouring wet and miserable day. I feel like I am writing this a lot these past few weeks!

We went to Gymboree this morning which was good fun. Kerr is very enthusiastic with the games and songs and rushes to the desk at the end of the class to get his hands stamped with Gymbo the clown.

We played with play dough for a while then decided to do some baking. Vanilla cupcakes to be precise. They are a bit of a random size and shape but tasted great - light and fluffy sponge with super sweet vanilla frosting. Yay!

Kerr loved the baking. He particularly enjoyed trying to sieve the egg shells and throw them in the cake mixture. He then moved on to decorating the kitchen table with all manner of cake decorations, glitter, hundreds and thousands, silver balls, mini marshmallows etc. He managed to get a fair few handfuls of them in his mouth too. No surprise there.

I think our first joint baking attempt was a success and no doubt there will be more rainy afternoons spent attempting other recipes.


(Haha I just noticed my one year ago blip was Kerr dusting. His fondness for housework and cleaning has continued and is probably now best described as a full on obsession!)
