Battle of Prestonpans, 1745

I went to visit the Prestonpans Tapestry at St Mary's Cathedral.

243 panels telling the story of the '45 up to the Battle of Prestonpans. The tapestry is beautifully done - some of the buildings are still recognizable, like Ruthven Barracks in this panel.

The tapestry is at St Mary's Cathedral until the end of August, entry is free of charge and there are lunchtime music recitals during the festival. It's well worth the visit if you're in the area.
