Today is 8/8/2011.
I begin my journal f8 with a photograph that I took today with my new Olympus 4/3rds camera system. I see this journal as my digital homage to f64, the famous photography group including Ansel Adams and Edward Weston. f64 refers to the lens opening on large format camera lenses that produces a level of clarity and sharpness unparalleled even today. The advantage of the new small digital formats means that f8 or smaller is often the optimum opening for clarity and lens performance.
