Whitsundays

A fantastic day out at the Whitsunday Islands. It wasn't quite the day we had expected. We thought we were going on a 'cruise' but what we ended up with was actually ferry tickets to let us hop between islands.

But the beautiful scenery more than made up for that...

Here we are on Whitehaven Beach. We spent about an hour and a half here. The sand is 98.5% pure silicon, and therefore is so pure. So pure that if you drop any electrical equipment in it, it will be ruined.

Never experienced a beach quite like it.
