Beans on Water

So this is how you grow beans (and conduct horticulture in gneral) if you live on a canal boat!

The stretch of canal where we found this "garden" is near

Heyford railway station.

There is a

lock, pub and shop by this basin.

Just to give an idea of this place, here is a view

By the way, our own beans have decided to grow beyond their poles and

use an apple tree as their support

presumably becaus they can get more light that way. (This picture is partly an excuse to present yet more Morning Glories that we planted along with the beans...)
