Blackberrying
I cycled up the Taff Trail today to deliver a birthday present to my little sis (see yesterday's blip) and filled a bag with blackberries on the way home. These little blighters are often a subject of one of my mini-rants i.e. why do people buy these from Tescos? They're free & they're everywhere. Even for townies like me. Have a mooch by the railway lines, the retail parks, the garden of the skanky neighbour whose only idea of gardening is an abandoned pushchair in the front. While not quite as wasteful as the pointless fish pedicure (use a pumice stone, you lazy decadent capitalist) buying blackberries is definitely in that spectrum.
Anyway, these have now been converted into bramble jelly. Nice with a crumpet post-rant.
