a shot in the dark

First day aboard, Queen Mary 2, Southampton

We boarded the Queen Mary 2 in Southampton around 1:30 in the afternoon. Mark took me exploring (can you pick him out in the photo?). This is one of the upper decks, looking aft with Southampton in the background. It was the beginning of a magical, old world journey.
