Florida Scenery
Florida is the Battleground of Rampant Overdevelopment and Relentless Wildlife. This of course is the frequent outcome. Roadkill is practically it's own subset of species. Here we have an armadillo, who are most often seen in this state of being, if being expired can be considered such a state.
My best friend Penny came down from Jacksonville last night to spend the day with me and the nieces. We went to the renowned spiritualist town of Cassadega, FL, where we had lunch with my old friend/former manager from Borders, Selene, who now manages a small giftshop in the heart of the psychic small town in the middle of the woods.
It's populated primarily with mediums and psychics, and is quite the destination during Halloween. We went only to find Selene, whom I hadn't seen or spoken with in over two years. I wasn't even sure she'd be around, and she had no idea that I was in town.
Once we found her ,she was as comfortable and familiar a presence as always.
Penny, the nieces, and I went to the beach after, absorbing cool tunes and yammering about everything.
Death and being.
