Bird on a Branch

The good news is that the weather has cooled off by about 10 degrees. It's still quite warm but at least the humidity isn't quite as bad so it's a big improvement over the weather we were having a few days ago.

On our afternoon walk, Poppy and I stopped for a rest in the shade of a giant Oak tree in Bryan Park. While we were lounging, a little bird stopped by to check us out. He was actually about 20 feet away. I had my camera on full telephoto to get this shot and its still not as close as I would have liked it to be. Oh well, someday I hope to get a camera with better lenses.
