Outdoor Cookin'

My dad finished repainting our deck chairs and had bought my mom an outdoor stove, so we were a bit outdoorsy today. Here's a picture of my mom stir-frying some squash under the sun!

Other highlights of the day, went to Flushing with the family and tried out the HUGE food court in a new mall built there. They have food from every region in China, and it's amazing! There are so many choices and everything looks so delicious. It honestly took my parents over 30 minutes to decide what to eat. My sister and I got some special pulled-noodle soup and this "snow ice" type of thing for dessert. The noodle soup was yummy, but the snow ice was..interesting. And not necessarily the good interesting. Let's just say that they used caramel corn and sprinkles as toppings, and I'll probably stick to shaved ice next time..
