Apocryphal seems to be the in word at the moment, presumably everyone is doubting the authenticity or meaning of what others are saying.

It is said, although it may be apocryphal, that if you watch a horse rolling, you will learn its true value.

Each time it rolls from one side to the other, means a value of One Thousand Pounds, when it rolls back that's another One Thousand Pounds. Now, you must understand this is in one session, so to speak, not in a day, or a lifetime. So count from when the horse lies down, until he gets up again shortly after.
