Acadia Bike Ride #1

Once we had all sufficiently recovered from the flu, we packed up Connor and the bikes on the free Island Explorer bus and took a trip to Jordon Pond. From there, we did an 8-mile bike ride on the carriage trails through Acadia National Park back to Bar Harbor.

A bit of history - Back in 1915, John D. Rockefeller had the foresight to create 50 miles of carriage trails through the park so that horses, bikes, and pedestrians could enjoy the scenery without fear of oncoming cars.
