Lynmouth
A roadtrip to North Devon has been the main event so far today.
As usual on our sibling duo roadtrips, all did not quite go to plan as we found ourselves in unexpected places, we ended up going round in circles (visiting North Molton multiple times) and we were hindered by about 20 of these little critters strolling down the road. They were mostly the lighter coloured, smaller ones, (I'm assuming they're the females), not at all bothered by the silver Fiat Punto trundling along behind them! Any idea what they are? Our first thought was Grouse (Grouses? Grice?), Pheasants or Partridges. No idea.
So after about 2 and a half hours of driving, a horrendous smell and some smoke emanating from the brakes, we reached Lynmouth. Full of tourists and holiday makers and the tide about as out as it could be we went for some late lunch.
One brie baguette later, we hopped rock to rock down to the sea, me taking photos constantly and frequently getting carried away, almost getting cut off and having to speed hop back towards shore.
An hour and a half to drive home over Exmoor, I love the drive home though, driving over cliffs, sea views and cattle grids making for some erratic driving.
Home now, sat in a squishy chair and about to go out for a meal to celebrate big brother getting a job!
