Last Standing Daisy

I spotted this rather sad looking daisy in a roadside verge while cycling between by son's cricket matches this afternoon (where both teams won). It somehow caught my eye. I remember earlier in the summer that this spot was ablaze with the most magnificent display of daisies. This is the only remnant. The last standing daisy indeed.

So this is a tribute blip to the lesser flowers of this world. I would guess this little specimen would never in its wildest dreams have expected to have been blipped today. I have to admit that the shot was inspired by this recent blip from Quotidienne Kris . Now that really is one sad looking flower!
