Southerly coming

People making the most of a lovely day at the beach before the forecast 3 days of snow arrives.

This is looking south toward Evans Pass where the cloud is gathering. Forty minutes later a mixture of snow and hail was coming down at a 45 degree angle. And an hour later the sky is blue and sun shining... cold wind though. I'm picking there's more cold wet stuff to come

At the centre of this shot is the Sumner clock tower, which (a) survived 3 big earthquakes in the last year (and thousands of small ones) and (b) is showing the correct time!! Amazing, on both counts
