Guinea Pig Zero

Market Baby

I stopped at a large Asian supermarket on the way back from town on my bike, wanting some basic groceries. I wound up with a fresh duck, pickled fiddlehead ferns, and preserved duck eggs (unappealing when unwrapped and shelled). None of the intentional shots I took in the store (they had fresh silk chickens, frozen abalone, and banana blossoms --all wonderfully rare here) were as blippable as this one, by accident, of a lovely child by the ca ro phi (tilapia) tank.
