Anzac day

Until last week I didn't know what Anzac day was all about or when it was. However it is good to see how seriously it is taken here, and it appears to be growing in recognition, according to the comments in the media.
We were invited to lunch at a neighbours, where we had too much to drink and which took up half the daylight hours of the time we were up and about. However I took Ollie for a walk earlier along a road which I have walked many times and noticed these sculptures for the first time. A very wealthy individual owns a large area of land along the coast and has fenced off access to the coast line. The section has been developed over a period of time and these sculptures are I am sure new and can be seen from the road, and the gated access to his land.
Although not a cenotaph I thought they were a rather appropriate Blip on Anzac Day
