pickle in the RAW!

This is the beginnings of piccalilli..

a variety of veg cut up small.. soaked in a brine, then bubbled in a sauce of curry ~ turmeric and a few random spices..

Bottled whilst still hot..

its the tastiest piccalilli known to man..

(My Hash name in Brunei used to be Pickled~lilli..!!)

i LOVE making this.. its ONE of the things my mum used to make that used to make me go EURGH!! (amongst many like onion and bacon roly poly pudding! and smoked haddock cooked in MILK!!)
