Ferragosto

Went to Sydney today and attended the Ferragosto Day at Five Dock.

We arrived very early - 9.30am when they were still setting up and had a good wander around before the crowds came. By 1pm it was impossible to move.

This street (quite a steep hill) is a major 4 laned road with a garden down the middle. In fact, the main road through Five Dock and it is closed to all traffic for about 18 hours - quite amazing at it is allowed to be closed at all. It is usually jammed packed with traffic at this time of day and all day.

Feels good to walk down the middle of a usually busy road!!

Five Dock has many Italian residents who thoroughly enjoy this day. The Italians are always so friendly.

I had to back blip yesterdays entry. I had a very busy day and was too late home to go on the computer - love my little man.
