Ruins at Zvartnots

Today is one of the holiest day in the Armenian church calendar ... it is the day when they bless the grapes that will bring a good harvest.

We went to the "Mother" church of Armenia called Echmiadztin to witness the blessing which was pretty cool ... Lots of choir singing ... Throwing of incense and bell ringing.

We also went to 3 other churches and saw the blessings ... Final stop was of the ruined church at Zvartnots.

Temp was 105 in the shade ... Phew! ;-) xx
