Part of the large lawn outside the holiday let has been left to grow. Although most of the wildflowers have now finished, a few remain and the bees seemed to appreciate them. I spent half an hour outside with camera and for a brief period with younger daughter looking at the wildlife. After explaining what this one is, and how it has very powerful back legs, she proceeded across the law towards the house imitating grasshopper hops.

A fairly lazy day today, after a couple of hours in the kitchen this morning, cooking a runner bean salad and a couple of courgette tarts. A visit from beloved's family, a game of monopoly at the request of two young girls and now a session of blip.
