The oats are disappearing

T and K made a swift visit to a friend in Cornwall yesterday and were to arrive back at lunchtime today. N was champing at the bit to start combining the oats and they hadn't showed up. Better late than never he arrived and jumped straight on board - notice his faithful dog sitting with him on the floor of the cabin! We havn't tested the moisture content of today's crop but the weather is so uncertain we must forge ahead only stopping if it rains. The rest of the corn is now ripe and then afterwards we must bale the straw and prepare the ground for sowing before the winter rains set in.
