Norin 10 Wheat

To be fair, I don't actually know if this is Norin 10 Wheat, but it was quite small and I imagine that pretty much all farmed wheat is in some way dervied from Norin 10. It is incredible that something as simple as reducing its height can increase yields and ultimately feed more people.

Incidentally this stuff about wheat strains is something that I heard President Bartlett say on the West Wing, you can pick up allsorts of gems from him cos, well, he is da bomb. On that note, I'm going to watch some West Wing. I'm going back through it, and I'm on S2E19 tonight. If you have never watched it, then get on it, it is a truly incredible show.
