Exploring Coney Island

Wikipedia tells us that

"Coney Island is a peninsula and beach on the Atlantic Ocean in southern Brooklyn, New York, United States. The site was formerly an island, but became partially connected to the mainland by landfill. Coney Island is possibly best known as the site of amusement parks and a major resort that reached their peak during the first half of the 20th century."

For me it was a pretty cool get-away for half a day, sitting at the beach promenade, having some local food ("the original Nathan's hot dog") and enjoying the company of a good friend :)
