Not as it should be

The prolonged spell of days of heavy rain has caused this stalk of grass to grow horiztally. Grass growing parallel to the ground looked a wee bit odd.

It was the limit of my taking photographs today as we spent the vast chunk of the morning at the local vet hospital with Behr who, even having just had his full annual check-up and vaccinations on Friday, somehow managed to develop an infection in a leg. It took 4 people - a vet, nurse, Mrs S and me, to lift a sedated Behr onto the x-ray table. It took two attempts too as at 80 kilos it was quite a weight to shift. Result for now is upped dosage of some tablets he already takes and yet more antibiotics, and tissue samples and fluid to hand to own vet on Monday. Quite a stressful weekend for Behr. We go on holiday next month so here's hoping he will recovered by then.

Must do a blip of Behr when he is feeling a wee bit better.
