Riding of the Marches
It's that time of year again when unsuspecting horses are plucked from fields in which they were quietly grazing and are thrust in to a busy week of flag raising, boundary checking and parading down streets normally inhabited by cars.
Haven't seen any horses yet but the Tolbooth in Sanquhar is bedecked with flowers and shields waiting for the action to begin.
