I BIT OF CULTURE?

Today it was off to Edinburgh to tak e in some of the sights and a bit of the Fringe. We have been going every other year for as long as I can remember and really enjoy the special atmosphere of the festival. Onthe last couple of occasions we have taken in some of the shows as well as the street theatre.
At lunch time we headed to the Assembly Rooms to watch Tiernan Douieb's comedy show 'Tiernan Douieb vs the World'.....what a load of rubbish. I have never laughed so little and my good lady even managed to fall asleep! We only went because the gentleman handing out the flyers told us he was a good clean comedian who did not have to resort to foul language to get a laugh. Aye right!....that lasted about 30 seconds before it degenerated into the usual expletives that this alleged comedian thought necessary to prop up a poor show.
On leaving I looked up and saw this statue of John Knoxand just wondered what he would make of the Fringe!
