Rain Garden
It poured rain all day today.
The garden truly needed it, but now the butternut squash vines have taken over and are growing so fast you can watch it. They tried to climb up the pear trees and I ripped them down, so now they are making a run at the string beans and spinach.
They have made it halfway across the garden!
I had hoped they would vine out into the lawn instead but now that I think about it, of course they are going to where there is more light, away from the shadow of the chestnut trees.
These asparagus fronds look like they are studded with diamonds. Beautiful to the eye, but hard to photograph. Lots of bokeh and very little in sharp focus.
PS- Just posted my portrait of the bride, Ashley. Take a look at it HERE.
