Near Dark

Tonight I went into the forest across the road last night as it was getting dark. When I went out to get the mail I could hear the water gushing in the stream from all the rain. I thought I could go get some long exposures of the violent water.

Didnt really get much. The bit that was making all the noise was through a lot of very wet and scraggly bushes so there would be no room to put the tripod even if I did get through. I took some shots of the stream instead.

I didnt realize how dark it was getting I lost my night vision by closely viewing some of the shots on the camera screen.

Nothing came out too thrilling, long exposure as its getting dark just makes it look like an overcast day rather than an overcast evening. I quite liked this crop of one of the shots though. Not sure why, apart from the obvious fact I like photos of water and rocks :-)
