The Cheviots
On my way to work I pass the Lammermuir Hills in the near distance on my right and drive straight towards the Cheviot Hills in Northumberland. Here are the Cheviots quite clear, on my way home tonight.
It takes me 25 minutes to drive the 14 miles to work because I go slowly and absorb the scenery, even on a rainy day. Almost every day I am thankful that my traffic jams are due to farm traffic on the roads and how polite the farmers are and let me past. I have never had to commute on a big road or motorway to work in my life and am so grateful for that.
Tonight's shot and yesterday morning's shot were taken just outside a wee village with lots of soul - Whitsome in Berwickshire. It has a village hall called the ARK - and it has a fab mosiac of an ark on the wall outside. This blip was from the south side and yesterdays was from the north side of the village.
Thank you for the favourite, the stars and the many comments yesterday. I'm almost afraid to tell you I pulled over and shot it out of the car window!! Must try that again! I was very flattered ( and felt a little guilty!)
