Surplus to requirements

Took the boy swimming today. Got to the pool, and he announced that he didn't think he needed to wear armbands to swim anymore. He was right, he doesn't need them anymore. Very, very proud mummy. Very, very smug son "see mummy, I told you I didn't need them"
