Hummel (or Not)

During The Big Clear Out of the Garage on Sunday I unearthed a box that had never been unpacked from 2 house moves ago! In it was this figure, which some time ago belonged to my mum and along with other bits and pieces I "acquired". She tells me it's a hummel, but I haven't a clue. I have seen similar types of things at Abernyte Antique Centre but it could be a copy. Anyone an expert?

Today, I took some pictures of dark red dahlia but I struggle to take pictures of dark coloured flowers. They just don't cme out the same colour and I was not happy with them so that's why the hummel came out. Maybe someone could offer a suggestion for this problem too. . . . .

I didn't see my Cameron today to get his picture on his first day back at school so that will need to wait till maybe tomorrow:-((
