Pimp my office fixtures and fittings

I didn't really think today would be that good, given the debacle of yesterday. However it went well enough to deserve warm applause on arrival home. Today started rather badly, especially for the number one son, who ended up with a bleeding chin thanks to butterfingers father who was trying to put writhing back arching child on the floor.

Anyway number one son held no grudges, I think I'd have been kicking myself in the back of the ankle myself, muttering clumsy oaf to myself.

My August rain count goes on. 16 days of rain (even if it only five minutes, that counts) - 1 glorious sunny day, and no sign of any let up.

Major preparations for the return to school tomorrow. I tried to convince our eldest that she could go back to P1 so she could boss the little ones around. She is growing fast and developing well. 'Daddy, stop it, you have gone too far'
