Shy Curiosity

Mid-August and summer is waning. How does it always go by so quickly? Only a week and a half before school starts again. Yuck! Tighter schedules, less free time, getting up earlier,waiting for the bus every morning, dealing with homework and project meltdowns, dreading my daughter moving onto another grade (growing up),the end of beach season...I'm never ready for August to end.

I focused on the koi in the pond this early evening. Got a couple of decent pics in the slushpile. Going with this one, since the two seem to be shy and curious about me and my camera. They came over, cautiously, staring up at me from behind the safety of the flower pot.
