hold your breath...

...for how long?

did you ever play that game as a kid?

in a large family like mine - we found ways to entertain ourselves... this was one. we'd challenge each other to see how long we could hold our breath. not for any good reason... just because - we could... that's what kids did - at least back then... to keep ourselves busy. we'd do it going under bridges if we were in the car - or driving through tunnels to see if we could get to the other side, too... who'd wimp out first? such a game - easy, breezy... filling our lungs with air and holding it in - and it didn't cost a dime!

when i saw this duck with his head under water... i couldn't help but be reminded of my siblings and me - in our childhood... playing this game... and i must admit - i have done it in adulthood as well... especially driving through tunnels to see who can make it to the end. i'm all for easy, fun entertainment - aren't you?
