Looks Good To Me

Promise Fulfilled

Each round in a Pétanque game starts with throwing the cochonnet -- the little white target ball. Because we often play in the rough, the cochonnet is not always visible, in which case we just memorize the location or mark it with the colored stick. This morning I threw it a short distance, but the guys decided I needed more exercise and demanded that I mark it. I went through the ritual whining and said that was pointless, because I was going to knock the stick over, making it invisible. I'm not sure who was surprised the most when I succeeded.
