re-enactment

This day we went to Ryedale Folk Museum...and happily they were having a Napoleonic weekend.

This is one of the re-enactors, he was lovely, spent time talking with us and really knew his subject. The whole gang were brilliant, especially when they gave a demonstration of firing their muskets as a brigade (after inspection obviously).

He posed for a few photos, but this one was before we started chatting...I like it better, it's more spontaneous.

If you are ever in the Pickering/Helmsley area go to Hutton - le - Hole and visit the museum. It really is a good day out....and the first ice-cream shop you get to after coming out of the museum is really good :)
